Routine Eye Exams

Comprehensive eye exams are recommended every two years for ages 19-64. Exams are covered by Alberta Health Care for children 18 and under and for seniors 65 and older, as well as exams that are medically necessary.

Your eyes age with you; as your eyes grow older, your chances of developing an eye disease or other conditions rise. Some of these diseases include cataract, glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration. Book an appointment today if you are experiencing any vision problems or looking to be proactive about your eye health.

children’s eye exams

Optometrists recommend children have their first eye exam when they are between 6 to 9 months old, at least once between 1 and 5 years, and annual eye exams from ages 5+

myopia control

Known as nearsightedness, this condition prevents you from seeing clearly in the distance. Your near vision remains unaffected. Though there is no cure for myopia, comprehensive eye exams can determine the extent of your myopia and find the prescription you need to enjoy clear, crisp vision. New methods to control myopia include special contact lenses, ophthalmic lenses, and medicated eye drops.

Medical & Emergency Care

For any ocular emergencies, including sudden loss of vision, flashes of severe eye pain, metal foreign bodies, injuries, or any other concerns, contact our team immediately. We accept walk-in emergencies.  Referrals to the appropriate eye specialist are made on your behalf when necessary.

Repairs & Adjustments

We have a fully equipped optical lab and fully trained staff to help make any necessary adjustments and repairs to your glasses.

Direct Billing

We direct bill most insurance companies; contact us to make sure your policy is on our list.

diabetic eye exams

Eye exams are your first line of defence against eye conditions caused by diabetes, and early diagnosis can help you effectively manage these problems before they damage your eyes.

Laser Eye Surgery

Dr. Holly Mah

Dr. Mah graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science and received her Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University with distinction. She is a member of the Alberta College of Optometrists and Alberta Association of Optometrists.  When not at work, Dr. Mah is a very active community volunteer. 

Dr. Kevin Tsen

Dr. Tsen was born and raised in Edmonton and graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science specializing in molecular genetics.  He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry in 2009 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.  His special areas of interest include Pediatrics and Binocular Vision, Contact Lenses and Eye Disease.
